Politicians and military leaders don't take history narratives seriously. They are probably told they are better than say, Napoleon or Hitler. Egocentric education? Fake history lessons? Manipulated historical facts? All these could be among the best explanations for the situation in Afghanistan. But the fact remains America is not a model for democracy or righteousness no more!
